New Delhi: The horrendous performance of the Indian team against England in the ongoing Test series has added problems for skipper MS Dhoni as former Indian selector and Test cricketer Mohinder Amarnath lashed out at him. He said that Dhoni doesn’t deserve a place in the Test team.
The former Indian cricketer also revealed that the Indian selectors don’t have the guts to remove him from the post of Indian captain.
He questioned Dhoni’s contribution in the Indian team and said that he is not fit to be in the team considering his performance over the year.
Amarnath, who was sacked from the selection committee, stated that he doesn’t have anything against Dhoni but India must look at a broader perspective.
He also endorsed the idea of multiple captains for different formats and gave names of Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir as captains of ODIs and Tests.
He said that Virat Kohli has got the ability to lead Team India in the shorter version of the game while Gautam Gambhir will be an ideal replacement for Dhoni in Tests.
