Mumbai:Sachin Tendulkar's dry spell of runs continued on Sunday too as he was dismissed on just eight runs, when the team needed him the most.
Sachin's dismal performance in the last few innings is likely to once again unleash the debate over his retirement.
If we look at his recent performance, the batting maestro has failed to touch the 50-runs mark in last ten innings. In last ten innings Sachin's batting average is as low as 15.3, lowest average of any Indian top-order batsman at present.
Cheteshwar Pujara averages 79, Virat Kohli 61, Sehwag 40 and Gambhir 27.
Even, R Ashwin, who bats at number eight is at a better position than Sachin at present with 303 runs at an average of 38.
On an average, Sachin has smashed a ton in every 6.2 innings but now it's 28 innings since he hit a ton (146) against South Africa in Jan 2011.
