The recent hijack warning received by Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad airports led to heightened security arrangements, but it was discovered that the hoax had a connection with a pleasure trip of a man's girlfriend.
The fake tip-off was given by Hyderabad's Vamshi Chowdhary who wanted to cancel his girlfriend's pleasure trip to Mumbai and Goa owing to financial woes.
He was arrested by the police after the email he had sent was traced to have been generated from Hyderabad.

Faced with financial problems, Vamshi asked his girlfriend to cancel the trip but she declined his request.
An official of the task force said the man hatched this plan to make his girlfriend believe that flights have been cancelled because of high security alert at airports.
It was found by the police that Chowdhary was an accused in two cyber cases earlier as well.
