Kanpur: A year after an IIT-Kanpur student hogged to limelight after bagging an annual package of Rs 72 lakh per annum, the institute is once again in the news for another heavy annual package for its student. Four students of the IIT-Kanpur have been offered an annual package of Rs 72 lakh by a US-based company, Rocket Fuel. The company came to the institute for the first time this year and offered an annual CTC package of $1.30 lakh amounting to Rs 70 lakh per annum.
As per IIT-Kanpur placement office, Shruti Ranjan, Ashu Pachauri, Rahul Verma and Vamshi Krishna, students of Computer Science Department have been offered the highest annual package in the current campus placement program.
Rocket Fuel, established in 2008, is one of the fastest growing advertising technology companies in Silicon Valley and among the top-25 companies in Forbes' Most Promising Companies in America.
In 2011, Anurag Awasthi, of Computer Science Department and Karan Narayan had bagged the highest package among all the IITs of the country. They were offered Rs 72 lakh package by Pocket Gems, also a US-based company.
