Kanpur: Techkriti, the annual Technical and Entrepreneurial festival of IIT Kanpur is back with its 18th edition. Techkriti was first launched in 1995, with the aim of developing interest and encouraging innovation in technology among students.
In seventeen years of its existence, Techkriti has evolved and grown, fulfilling its purpose and becoming one of the most eagerly-awaited college technical festivals in Asia.

The word ‘Techkriti’ is composed of two words, ‘Tech’ in English which stands for technology and ‘Kriti’ in Sanskrit stands for creation, hence, the word ‘Techkriti’ signifies creation or innovation in technology.
Techkriti is an entirely student organised festival. For smooth functioning of the festival, certain portfolios are allotted to each Head.
This year Techkriti is being organized from 14-17th March and it features a series of exciting events for its participants, this includes lectures and talks by eminent personalities from the world of Science, Technology and Business.

Jeff Lieberman has four degrees from MIT (BS: Physics, Math, MS: Mech. Engineering, Media Arts and Sciences) and is popular as the co-host of the Television Series: Time Warp, which airs on the Discovery Channel.
A College dropout, venture capitalist, advertising bigshot, digital marketing guru, WSJ columnist, Murthy is a household name in the Marketing and Advertising industry. He has spent over 29 years helping big brands with marketing counsel and 13 years helping StartUps with funding of which 19 have been in the digital media market.
He is an American architect renowned for designing several important buildings including the world's tallest building, the Burj Dubai. In a span of 23 years, he has designed more than 50 world-renowned Development centers and Buildings in North America, Asia and Europe including three of the world's tallest buildings. He recently completed his work on the 632-meter (2074-foot) Shanghai Tower, China's tallest building.
Robert John Aumann
He is an American mathematician and a member of the United States National Academy of Sciences. He received the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics in 2005 for his work on conflict and cooperation through game-theory analysis.
