Damascus: A graphic vidoe has emerged from the war torn Syria, in which a rebel soldier was seen cuttting out and eating the heart of a dead government soldier.
The man in the video is claimed to be Abu Sakkar, the well-known founder of Homs' Farouq Brigade.
The man could be seen ranting against the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad as he bends down to cut the heart out of the corpse and eat it.
Abu Sakkar is a well known figure and journalists have confirmed that the man in the video is him.
In the unedited version of the video, Sakkar instructs his men to take their (Bashar al-Assad men) hearts out and eat them.
The man raises two organs from the corpse and shouts, "We swear to god we will eat your heart and livers, you soldiers of Bashar the dog", Daily Mail quoted.
The video is posted on numerous internet forums and is a latest in the series of war crimes committed in Syria.
Earlier, an image of a rebel soldier holding a severe head of Syrian army over a barbecue intensified the debate of foreign intervention in the country.
The country has been left in disarray with two years of conflict. More than 70,000 people have lost their lives, according to UN estimate.
Millions of people have been left homeless and forced to seek refuge in neighbouring countries, like Turkey and Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Britain PM David Cameron said that he might consider a military intervention inside Syria as the news of chemical weapon by Basher al-Assad becomes more evident.
The video was considered too graphic for this platform.
