A murder mystery that walks the lines of love story, The Xpose is a film that as expected has Himesh Reshammiya in almost every scene. The film has three main characters- Ravi Kumar (played by Himesh Reshammiya), Zara (played by Sonali Raut) and Chandini (Zoya Afroz). Ravi Kumar is a cop who is investigating Zara’s mysterious murder, a case which has no eye witness. Chandini who is a lead suspect in the case falls in love with Ravi Kumar who later goes on to become southern superstar. After every character in the film comes under scanner, Ravi Kumar finally manages to expose the culprit.
How are the performances?
Himesh Reshammiya who was claiming that with this film he has finally taken his acting career seriously, has in fact managed to deliver a decent performance. There are some dialogues which don’t suit actor’s personality; however, he has done a lot better than his previous acting stints. Talking about Yo Yo Honey Singh, for a debut, The Xpose was certainly not the right choice, considering the actor has been totally wasted at certain places. Sonali Raut and Zoya Afroz are just like props in the film who have taken the name of the movie rather serious and have just exposed.
How are the dialogues in the film?
There are certain dialogues in the film that leave the audience in hysterics like, “Ravi Kumar langot ka bahut pakka hai, woh bistar pe neend ke alawa kuch nahin leta,” where Ravi Kumar refuses an intimate proposal. And then there are some dialogues that don’t suit his personality like, “Raja ka beta bhale hi nanga paida hua ho, par hota woh rajkumar hi hai.”
How is the music in the film?
There was a time when Himesh Reshammiya used to give melodious music to films. One such film whose music was much appreciated was Namaste London. But The Xpose has the kind of music that cannot be tolerated even while watching movie leave alone listening to it later on. There is not a single track one comes out humming.
Overall, The Xpose is an average film which would die a silent death majorly because of a poor screenplay despite of having a decent script.
