Jaipur: The Sikar police busted a gang involved in cheating in SSC examination on Sunday. Cops arrested 70 individuals for cheating by using Bluetooth devices. The arrested men are from Haryana and Delhi and the police have recovered mobile phones, earphones and Bluetooth devices from their possession.
The police have also recovered half-a-dozen vehicles after interrogating the men. Interestingly, a car with red beacon was also retrieved by the cops.
This happens to be the second time in a week when the Sikar police have arrested candidates using unfair means during the SSC examination.
“Last week, we had nabbed 12 men who were cheating in a similar manner. So, it was decided that individuals appearing for examination will be checked thoroughly,” said Haidar Ali Zaidi, SP, Sikar.
“During the morning shift, flying squads searched individuals and nabbed three-dozen men involved in cheating. Since the exam was to be conducted in second shift as well,
the teams again checked the individuals and again nearly three dozen men were found cheating using Bluetooth devices,” the SP added.
The police later barricaded the main roads and found half a dozen vehicles after interrogating the arrested men. The Sikar police also found one car with a red beacon installed on it.
Moreover, when the police nabbed the men their Bluetooth devices were on and the officials heard a voice which was similar in every device. The police are suspecting that the devices were configured on one device from where the answers were being relayed to all.
