Raipur: The mass sterilization drive in Chhattisgarh has made many small kids orphan. Some of them are few months old and are dependent only on mother’s milk.
Now the biggest challenge family members are facing is to feed them.
With no options left, a family had to make a 10-month-old baby breastfeed himself from his mother’s dead body.

Chaiti Bai of Baiga Tribe in Nauli village lost his life after surgery. Her dead body was being taken back to village in an ambulance. During the journey, the baby kept crying because of hunger after which the family made the baby to breastfeed himself from the dead body.

15 women have died and more than a dozen others are in critical condition after undergoing sterilization surgeries in a free government-run program to help slow the country's population growth. According to reports, 39 children have been left orphaned.
