TWO earthquakes jolt Delhi, West Bengal and the rest of Northern India, epicentre in Nepal

An earthquake of 7.1 magnitude hit Delhi today which was followed by an aftershock of 6.3 magnitude. The epicenter for the earthquake is said to be Afghanistan. Tremors were felt all across North india

    NEW DELHI: An earthquake of 7.1 magnitude hit Delhi today, May 12th. Tremors were felt all across North India including West Bengal, Bihar, Patna which were all affected by the same. The tremors were felt in the capital for 1 minute. According to the reports, the epicentre for the same is Nepal and the earthquake was measured at 7.4 on the Richter scale. Two aftershocks of magnitude 5.6 and 6.3 were felt across Nepal. Delhi too was jolted by an aftershock at 1.13 PM.
    Reuters reports that three major landslides were reported in Sindhupalchowk district, whose capital is Chautara, with at least 12 people hurt, a district official said.
    "Buildings down in Chautara ...Bodies being brought out of buildings," the International Organization of Migration, UN agency, posted on its Twitter account.
