Small screen actress Mahima Makwana recently hosted a house warming party at her new house in Mira Road, Mumbai. It was a double celebration for the actress as her mother celebrates her birthday on the same day.

In an interview with Daily Bhaskar.com, Mahima says, “It’s a proud moment for me and my whole family. It was my mother’s dream to shift from a chawl to a flat and today her dream has been fulfilled. I used to also motivate and encourage my mom towards her dream home and today it feels like it’s a biggest achievement for me. My mother is my biggest pillar of my success and in future too, I want to fulfil all her dream; this house is just the beginning.”

Talking more about her journey from a chawl to a flat, the actress says, “I was just five months old, when my dad expired. He was into a builder profession and people assumed that he had left lots of money for us. But that wasn’t true. There was a time when I wanted to give up my acting career since we had no money to pursue. My mother motivated me and was confident about my acting skills. I never missed my dad because for me my mother is my whole world. And I will work very hard to fulfil my entire mother’s dream.”

Mahima is currently portraying the role of Disha in serial ‘Dil Ki Baatein Dil Hi Jaanein’ and this new house was purchased when she was acting in ‘Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke.’ “The entire interior had been planned according to my mother’s wish. This red and white combination of my bedroom is very much liked by all my relatives and family members. This is a dream house and every small thing placed here is according to vastu. My mom believes in vastu and so do I.”

Mahima wore a Maharashtrian outfit (Kaashta) on this occasion.
