Bang Bang! Movie Review: Watch it only for action and Hrithik Roshan
It’s not every day that a film’s teaser breaks all the records on Youtube. The excitement for Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang! could also be estimated from the fact that almost all morning shows in Delhi were houseful. We booked our tickets well in advance, but still we had to compromise with the fourth row from the front.
More than the row, it was the movie which let us down. In fact, we believe, Bang Bang! will directly make it to the top of the list of the most overhyped films of the year. And yes! The movie is not just an official remake of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz’s ‘Knight and
Day, but it also an unofficial remake of Krrish and Dhoom 2.
Hrithik Roshan has stolen the Kohinoor from London. Now he wants to sell the diamond to bald-funny-looking-international-criminal Omar Zafar (Danny Denzongpa…ji haan, Gareebo ka Bruce Lee). Just in case you are underestimating him, ‘Interpol ki list inhi ke naam se shuru hoti hai,’ a police officer explains in the film. Also, he kills an Indian military officer in the beginning of the film.
Now, he meets hot Harleen (Katrina Kaif) in Shimla, and falls in love with her. Harleen talks cute, wears cute, and speaks cute. Siddharth Anand’s character has so much cuteness about her that you want her to shut up within 15 minutes of her first scene. In fact, Dangerous Danny Denzongpa (DDD) tells her in the climax to keep quite (sob! sob! Nek kaam mein itni deri). Who said you are villain Danny, you are our Hero.
Wait! There is more to Katrina Kaif’s character. She has the same dadi, which Ayushmann Khurrana had in Vicky Donnor (Remember iPhone 16GB wali dadi ji). Her mom dad were killed in an accident (I have heard this before in films like zillion times. Plagiarism of Emotion).
Anyway, now comes the best part of the film. The action is just unbelievable, something which we have not seen before in any Bollywood film. The locations where the film has been shot are also exotic (worth your money). Also, you will love whatever Hrithik Roshan has done in the film. Hrithik’s action scenes in the water can give competition to any Hollywood actor.
The film is unintentionally funny too, at least for those who live in Delhi and Dehradun. East Delhi is shown as Shimla (Dharna karenge hum Delhi wale, where are you Arvind Kejriwal?). If this was not enough, Dehradun has been portrayed as a place, which remains covered with snow throughout the year (Dehradun, SNOW, lol).
Wait! There is climax too.
Kohinoor toh chori hi nahi hua tha (who are we, fools!). At least, Danny Denzongpa feels so after Hrithik tells him in the film(Hrithik roj bournvita pitaa hain….Koi Mil Gya bhool gaye?). And it was a secret mission of Indian Secret Service and London Secret Police (Really!!! What about ISI).
Big Question-Should I watch the film?
By the time you would be reading this review, the movie will be inching closer to Rs 100 crore mark. And why not, there is hot Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan’s amazing dace moves, unbelievable action, most beautiful locations in this world, and foot tapping music.
Waise bhi, who cares about the story or good films these days? Right? May be a few who will buy Haider’s ticket because the shows of Bang Bang are houseful. Trust us! We met a few at the theater today.
No logic here! Watch it if you want to see amazing action, or you are a fan of Hrithik Roshan.
