Madhur Bhandarkar mourns over actor Vinay Apte’s death
Famous Indian television, film and theatre actor Vinay Apte expired on December 7. He breathed his last at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Mumbai. The actor complained of breathing issues, and was suffering from multiple health problems.
Apte was heard to be discharged as he was on a road to recovery but on Saturday, due to low blood pressure, his heart began to pulse down and he eventually succumbed to death. The talented actor has to his credit many successful Hindi films and Marathi films and soaps. He proved his acting prowess in every film he did from Hindi films such as Jogwa, Raajneeti, Aarakshan, Satyagraha, and even television shows namely Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and Adaalat. He left an indelible mark in Marathi shows too such as Durva and Eka Lagnachi Dusari Goshta. He was currently shooting for Durva and suddenly, he was hospitalized and finally passed away on Saturday.
But, he shot to fame with Madhur Bhandarkar's film Chandni Bar and later, did two more films Corporate and Traffic Signal. Speaking to Dailybhaskar.com, Bhandarkar expressed his grief and said, “I was at an event and as soon as I came out, my phone was flooded with texts informing about the sad demise of Vinay Apte ji. He had called me a month ago and expressed desire to catch up but I was travelling at that point of time.”
Madhur heaped praises on Madhur. “He was a talented actor. I have worked with him in my three films, Chandni Bar, Corporate and Traffic signal. I think, Corporate was the turning point for him as the role of the minister from Maharashtra which paved way to Prakash Jha films. Apte performed phenomenally in Raajneeti too. He would be a tremendous help with his creative inputs. I got the opportunity to watch his plays too. I think, he rocked in whatever he did.” Daily Bhaskar wishes for his soul to rest in peace.
