Raja Natwarlal Movie Review: Not convincing enough
(Raja Natwarlal might have (surprisingly) got U/A rating despite Emraan Hashmi aka Mr Kiss in the lead role. But the review contains conversation between two Emraan Hashmi’s fans, which might be inappropriate for sanskari readers.)

Emraan Hashmi’s K(iss)ontribution to the Indian cinema is immense. He can be considered as one of the star entertainers of Bollywood, who will remain alive in the minds of his numerous admirers across the world. We were fortunate to watch his latest film Raja Natwarlal with two such admirers, who were sitting right next to us. Their conversation during the film was so entertaining that we couldn’t ignore them.
Fan 1: They should have released the film on Emraan Hashmi day (He actually meant Kiss day as he explained to the other fan).
Fan 2: Kya farak padta hai, India ka Kiss day toh aaj hi hai (Today is India’s Kiss day).

Emraan Hashmi in the film: Risk aur opportunity ke beech mein hi toh chance milta hai.
Fan 1: Kitne chance toh 25 minutes mein hi mil chuken hai. (He was actually referring to the chances he got to kiss Humaima Malik, who is playing a bar dancer in the film).
    Fan 2: Wait, wait, wait.
(We don’t know why he asked him to wait thrice)
    Finally Emraan kisses Humaima Malik
Fan 2: Isse better toh Rajpal Yadav se kiss kara sakte the.
    (Rajpal Yadav, Really!)
Fan 1: Kya yaar paise waste.

    Interval
(The two were completely disappointed with the film as their kiss-pectations were high from their favourite star).

Fan 1: We are more intelligent than this villain (He was referring to Kay Kay Menon)
We tend to agree with the Fan 1 here as Menon, who played the role of a sharp don, gets conned by a street thief (Emraan Hashmi) by an unconvincing plan.
Fan 2: I think his nose was blocked while shooting for this film.
Fan 1: Kum se kum 1 song Honey Singh se hi kara lete.
(He passed this last comment and left the theater before the final item number)
Review: This might be the story of every Emraan Hashmi’s fan, who watched the film today, but we can’t completely write-off the film. The film is good in parts, and twists and turns keep the interest alive. The film is also backed by good acting performances from Emraan Hashmi, Paresh Rawal and Kay Kay Menon. One should credit these actors if the film manages to fair well at the Box Office, despite the weak plot.
    How is Humaima Malik?
It’s an opportunity lost for the Pakistani actress, who made her debut in Bollywood with Raja Natwarlal. She hasn’t looked convincing in her character.
    How is the music?
Music of the film is forgettable.
    What’s the story?
The story of Raja Natwarlal revolves around Raja (played by Emraan Hashmi), who wants to take revenge from don Vardha Yadav (played by Kay Kay Menon), who has killed his best friend and mentor. Emraan, who is a street thief, sells him a fake Cricket league team with the help of other conmen.
Big Question-Should I watch the film?
The film is better to be watched on TV. Wait for small screen premiere and do not spend your hard earned money on this con film.
