LG has launched its best ever G3 smartphone today. The phone comes with a beautiful metal body and wide almost edge-to edge display screen with 2K display resolution.
The phone runs the Android 4.4.2 KitKat that has been overlaid with a simple user interface with rounded app buttons. The handset measures 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9mm in dimensions (8.9mm thickness) and weighs about 149 grams.
There is an 13 megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilizer Plus support and a Laser Auto Focus that can shoot stunningly sharp images in a fraction of the time required by conventional phone cameras.
This is a 4G LTE ready phone that can also support 3G connectivity. Other options are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, SlimPort, A-GPS/Glonass and USB 2.0.

The display is a 5.5-inch quad HD display quality one. That is a display resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels on a display screen that offers a 538ppi of display resolution.
In this segment LG G3 will have some competition. Lenovo is set to launch its first quad HD display phone (Vibe Z2 Pro) this year with a same display on a 6-inch display screen. Apple could go for a Retina 2 display in the new flagship phone, that could make it a better display. The Retina 2 might go for a competition with the 2K display in Android phones.

On the processor front the LG G3 sports 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor. IT is one of the fastest 4-cores available in the market today and powers just a few flagships.
The new LG G3 will come in two variants of 2GB and 3GB RAM. The 16GB internal memory model will sport 2GB RAM while the 32GB storage model will be supported by a 3GB RAM. The phone has an expandable memory of 128GB via microSD card.
The HTC One M8, Sony Xperia Z2, Samsung Galaxy S5, OnePlus One and Oppo Find 7 are equipped with the same processor.

OnePlus One is another handset that is ready to compete in the Snapdragon 801 processor segment. This phone packs 3GB RAM in the phone and 16 GB internal storage in the phone. For those who require more internal memory there is a 64GB variant of the phone. But as a shortcoming of this handset there is no slot for external memory. The HTC One M8 with a duo camera is another marvellouos all-metallic handset that is ready to give this LG G3 a great competition. The the primary one with 2.0um ultrapixel camera and BSI sensor is for taking pics the second one on the back measures the depth information. This enables you to bring into focus things that are out of focus.
When you click a pic with two objects at different distance from the lens, the lens can actually keep focus on one – either the object near to the lens or the one which is farther from the camera lens. This feature makes it a good competitor of the LG G3.
Samsung Galaxy S5 (launched) and Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro (upcoming) with 16 megapixel camera are the other competitors of the handset.
