Now that the Mobile World Congress in about three months away, rumours have started flying about new launches. Nokia is readying Lumia 1820 smartphone (as the number suggests this will be placed above the recently launched Lumia 1520 phablet.) and Lumia 2020 tablet for the launch.
According to the tipster of NokiaPowerUser, “Lumia 2020 will be the name of Nokia’s rumored 8-inch Tablet. This Tablet will run on Snapdragon 800 and will have a 1080p resolution display. It will be faster and have higher PPI display than Lumia 2520 and will come with stylus support. This Tablet and Nokia’s next imaging flagship Lumia 1820 with metal unibodyand Lytro-style camera will be unveiled during MWC in 2014.
Another report at Geeky-gadgets mentions that the Lumia 1820 will be a successor of the Lumia 1020 41 megapixel camera phone and will come with a metal unibody and lytro style camera. In addition to this we can also expect the announcement ofan 8-inch Lumia 2020 tablet that might feature a Snapdragon 800 chipset with a 1080p display and a higher ppi count compared to Lumia 2520 tablet. This is also rumored to come with a stylus support.
At the Nokia event in Abu Dhabi on the 22nd October this year we say a Windows RT tablet. Earlier @evleaks also tweeted that a new Nokia 8-inch Illusionist Tablet will be launched in early 2014. On the 4th November the leakster tweeted “Nokia Illusionist is going to be their second RT tablet, but in the eight-inch class.”
The Mobile World Congress 2014 will be organized from 24 - 27 February in Barcelona and is known to witness new product announcement. This year we saw debut of curved TVs, and new flagships and more at the show. Samsung is rumored to be planning the Galaxy S5 announcement at this event.
