SHOCKER: Haryana government's department issues 'bogus' ration card in PM Manmohan Singh's name
Rohtak: The Food and Supply department has made a bogus ration card of India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
The card was issued nearly 3 days ago and has been allotted with card number 12764. The address on the ration card is house number 84 in Adarsh Nagar in Rohtak.
It is notable that the address is near the residence of Haryana's Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Dr Manmohan Singh is the MP from Assam and his residential address is also of Guwahati in Assam. But a bogus ration card on his name has been made in Rohtak along with his picture.
The fake card is stamped and signed by Assistant Supply Officer Satish Dahiya. The card displays the picture of PM Manmohan Singh along with his wife Gurcharan Kaur.
When Bhaskar team looked for House number 84 in the locality no such house was found. The Collectorate of Rohtak, Dr Amit Aggarwal said that someone has knowingly played the prank to hurt the reputation of the management.
He said that inquiry will be held against the related person in the matter.
In conversation with Satish Dahiya, AFSO:
Q. How did the department sanction the card in the name of Dr Manmohan Singh?
- They have not made any ration card in the name of PM.
Q. Bhaskar has the copy of ration card which was also showed to you?
- The stamp is of my designation but the signature doesn't seem mine.
Q. If the card is bogus then how come it is allotted serial number 12764?
- This is a matter of inspection and the issue will be inquired on Monday.
