Indian women have been facing gender discrimination since ancient ages whether it is about rituals or rights. Women are made to feel that they cannot do certain things & are always seen as a liability and house makers. But there are some weird temple rituals in India which might make Indian women feel more rational and equal as these temples do not allow men to enter in the temples. This sounds so weird but is so satisfying on so many levels that even though women are always the prime targets of gender discrimination, men too face it. Here’s a list of 7 Indian temples where men are not allowed.

    1. Brahma Temple- Pushkar, Rajasthan.

This temple is dedicated to Lord Brahma and is the only temple dedicated to him in the entire world. The reason why men are not allowed in the premises is that according to legeds, Lord brahma performed a yagna at the pushkar lake which he had to perform with his wife goddess saraswati. Goddess sarawati was late for the event, so Lord brahma married goddess gayatri and completed the rituals. Goddess saraswati cursed the temple that no married man is allowed to visit the inner sanctum otherwise a trouble will arise in his marital life.
