10 - Bangadh Fort, Alwar (Rajasthan)

In the year 1613 AD Bangadh Rajasthan fort was built by Raja Madhu Singh. Soon after this fort was created, it was demolished due to many curses by the tantriks. The curse was that no one would ever be able to make a roof on their houses here. In fact, the temple here too has no roof. The local residents say that anybody who visits this fort at night never returns. There is a board in front of the fort, which reads that no one is allowed to enter the fort after sun set.

9 - Dumas coast, Surat (Gujarat)

This beautiful and famous beach of Gujarat also has many stories. As per Hindu tradition, the human body is burnt after death. 7- GP block, Meerut (UP)

Situated in Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, this place although not famous, but is declared haunted. This GP block is a two-storied apartment and people who cross this house say that they see the ghost of a girl sitting on the roof. Some people have even seen girls getting out of this house wearing red clothes. People have also seen four men sitting here having alcohol. People have stopped crossing this house.

6 - Svoy Hotel, Mussoorie (Uttarakhand)

This hotel is listed on top as India’s most haunted hotels. Situated in Mussoorie, this hotel was opened in 1902. In 1910, a dead body was found in a highly mysterious condition. People say that the hall and gallery of this hotel is haunted by a female ghost whose name was Garnet. The woman was given poison and now her ghost moves around the hotel in search of the man who gave her poison. People say that whenever anybody encounters her, she looks at that person without any emotion, expression or feeling, which is very scary.

1 - Brij Raj Bhawan Palace, Kota (Rajasthan)

This place is 175 years old and was acquired by the Royals. In 1980 the palace was converted into a hotel. But the Palace is haunted, and the ghost who lives here is Major Burton. Major Burton was killed by Indian soldiers. Major Burton with his two sons was killed in the central hall of the building. At night the ghosts scare people and even slap them.
