Malviya Sports Festival: MNIT Gears Up For Its Annual Sports Fest In Jaipur Expecting Participation From IITs, BITS-Pilani & 50 Other Prestigious Institutions
As much as we don’t want to sound cliché-d with ‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’, but trust us all work and no play will actually make him something worse than a dull boy. It will hinder his development and personal growth, make him unproductive at work and make him an intensely boring individual.
The folks at Malviya National Institute of Technology are pretty serious about Jack and his mental and physical growth. This is why they host the Malviya Sports Fest (Earlier known as the Malviya Sports Tournament) every year in the pink city Jaipur. The fest will be a 3-day long affair (17th-19th February) where more than 1000 students from prestigious institutes of India like IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani and DTU will be taking part.
The event will be graced by Virender Singh Poonia; Vandana Rao, former athlete and Olympian and Shiba Maggon, Indian basketball player. The Malviya Sports Tournament started in 2007 with 700 participants and it has grown in the last 10 years to become a sports culture in the city with participation from the entire country. Some of the sports events that you cna look forward to in the fest are basketball, football, table tennis, badminton, cricket, lawn tennis, volleyball and chess.
Apart from the sports events, you can also look forward to cultural events like performances by Punjabi singer Simranjeet Singh, DJ Disto and EIC comedian Angad Singh.
