    Parneen's beauty and oomph threatened to dethrone the reigning and original sex divas of the 70s and 80s, former Miss India Zeenat Aman and the sultry Rekha.
    Sadly, for the glamorous life she led on screen, Parveen died a most lonely and terrible death on Jan 20, 2005. On her ninth death anniversary, we are recalling the last days of the first Indian woman to appear on the cover of the Time magazine.
    The actress was found dead in her Mumbai apartment after her residential society secretary alerted the police that she had not collected milk and newspapers from her doorstep for three days.
    According to the police sources, when they entered her cluttered Palm Beach Riviera terrace apartment in Juhu, they found some paintings, clothes, medicine and a wheelchair lying around in neglect and disarray next to Parveen’s semi-decomposed body.
