Indore: A case of a widow being gang raped at knife-point has come to light from Lasudia police station area.
The allegeds include the victim's nephew and her maternal aunt's sons. The rapists kept her gagged and threatened for three hours while taking turns to ravage her modesty.
Police nabbed one of the culprits while the other two are on the run.
As per police reports, the widow lives in Khajrana with her two children. After her husband's death, she has been working at a private company in Ring Road area.
On Wednesday, when she was on her way back from work, her nephew Dinesh, a resident of Bapu Gandhinagar met her. He asked her to accompany him to her in-laws on the pretext that her mother-in-law was seriously ill. While they were travelling on the bike towards Bypass area, her aunt's sons Arjun and Ravi saw them and followed them to a desolate place.
Threatened to withdraw complaint
Police conducted a raid late on Wednesday and nabbed Dinesh. But the victim lodged a complaint that her family members and in-laws were pressurising and threatening her to withdraw the complaint.
Stabbed during attempt to escape
When the victim tried to run away from the rapists, they stabbed her and kept torturing her from 7pm till 1 in the morning.
