Raipur: The army officials training in the forests of Chhattisgarh are in danger. Intelligence Bureau (IB) reports have claimed that Maoists in the region are planning to attack the Army officials training in the forests near Abujhmad.
Sources said IB has sent a report to the centre saying the Maoists might attack the training camps in Chhattisgarh. The report said the recent Maoist attacks are a way to divert the attention from army camps, the sources claimed. Meanwhile, the Maoists are preparing for a major attack on the army training camp, they added.
The Maoists have been opposing the training camp ever since it was established. Maoist spokesperson Gudsa Usendi said the Maoists have opposed the training centre and opening the centre in Chhattisgarh is an indication of civil war. He further questioned the Chhattisgarh government how it could give such a large portion of public land to the defence academy.
