Mumbai: The company India Cements that owns the major share in the IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings is leaving no stones unturned in denying the fact that Gurunath Meiyappan is the team principal. The company in a statement on Friday said he is not CSK’s owner, neither Team Principal.

Meiyappan, whose entry pass says that he is the team owner, changed his Twitter profile that used to say that he was the team principal of CSK. He changed his post to MD, AVM Productions.

Company’s official website also erased all records of Meiyappam, deleting links and erasing URLs that even had his mention.

Meanwhile, Lalit Modi’s Twitter wall is shining with the message ‘Architech of Indian Premier League’. He seems to be beaming with joy after his key nemesis N.Srinivasan and his son in law got embroiled in the massive scandal. He has been tweeting regularly, launching salvos at the BCCI President. He even shared links of news stories that were against the duo.

Son-in-law of BCCI President and owner of Chennai Super King Gurunath Maiyappan has been arrested by Mumbai Crime Branch after questioning him for three hours at Mumbai Police head-quarters regarding his alleged role in the ongoing IPL spot-fixing row.

Gurunath was allegedly in constant touch with Vindoo and it is because of this constant contact that the police decided to call him in for questioning.

Maiyappan landed in Mumbai after evading the police for three days. He had asked for a day’s time for appearing before the police for interrogation. Mumbai Police had threatened to issue a warrant against him if he failed to comply with the orders. Finally, he bucked under pressure created by the media and finally turned up at the police headquarters.
