Jodhpur: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has deployed a full squadron of Sukhoi-30 MKI air superiority combat jet at the Jodhpur airbase with an aim to tackle any oppressive move by Pakistan.

The superiority of these fighter jets can be gauged from the fact that these can reach Lahore from Jodhpur in just five minutes.

IAF’s Sukhoi-30 MKI squadron named the Lions or No 31 squadron, which originally was based in Lohegaon, Pune, has now been shifted to Jodhpur to strengthen the air defence along the western border of the country.

The Sukhoi-30 MKI is capable of carrying heavy load of weapons. It can fly continuously for 5200 kms. It has been fitted with latest avionics and radar systems.

The agility of this all-weather, long-range fighter allows rapid deployment of weapons in any direction as desired by the crew.
