Jodhpur: Rajasthan State Roadways Transport Corporation (RSRTC) has returned back 40 of the 75 buses from outstation depots. The buses had been brought in Jodhpur to manage the pressure on the RSRTC due to the Dussehra fair organised by Baba Ramdev.
The authorities have decided the withdrawal after a significant decrease in the number of commuters was noted two days into the fair. They said 150 special buses had been started from August 30 but the low number of visitors have forced the roadways to send back the buses that had been brought in from Pali, Sirohi, Nagaur, Falna, Abu road, Ajmer, Chittor and Udaipur depots.
RSRTC had earlier provided for an hourly-bus service but due to decrease in number of visitors, the service has been made top function once daily.
