MONSTER DAD: Drunk father throws his two-year-old daughter from moving train
Kota: Man allegedly threw his two years old daughter down moving train near Chambal when his wife asked him to stop drinking. The child`s body was found on Sunday morning. The father immediately got off the train a passenger shouted and stopped the train by dragging the chain. The wife lodged a complaint against his husband at Kota police station and was arrested at Gudla station.
Sanjay Sharma GRP CI said that the accused Gaurav (24), who works in Chittorgarh was travelling in general coach with his wife Sonu (20) and two daughters Nayushi (2 years), Ayushi (9 months). Already drunken Gaurav was asked to stop drinking by his wife, leading to heated argument between them, he took his two year old daughter and stood at the gate. As the train was crossing the bridge above Chambal River he threw his daughter into the river.
The railway colony and GRPF personnel started their search operation at night but could not find her. Next morning the municipal divers pulled out the body of the two year old. Both the divers said to have experienced such incident for the first time. The police also informed the Gaurav`s elder brother.
While, the accused father denied throwing his daughter in the river, explaining that the daughter slipped from his hand as he lost his balance. He also alleged that he got off the train to search his daughter but couldn’t find her.
CI Sanjay Sharma said that the accused is lying. He was drunk when the incident took place and tried to escape after the crime, even switched off his mobile.
