New Delhi: The highly dramatized patent infringement lawsuit filed by Yahoo against Facebook has got two more additions in the form of intellectual property theft charges.
Yahoo had filed a lawsuit claiming that Facebook is infringing on 10 of its patents. But, the Internet giant has now added two more charges claiming that Facebook has infringed on 12 of its patents.
Yahoo had claimed that Facebook infringed on patents including systems and methods for advertising on the web.
The social networking giant, Facebook, counter sued Yahoo claiming that it violated their patents covering photo tagging, advertising and online recommendations.
It was reported that Yahoo has now denied the claims and accused Facebook of engaging in unfair tactics.
Facebook violated an agreement between the two firms to notify one another of possible patent infringements before going to court, the report said.
The spokesman of Facebook said that they disagree with the latest claims of Yahoo and will continue to defend themselves.
