Chandigarh: Sachin Tendulkar's current state of fitness is not a good news for Team India. However, his physiotherapist Dr. Jatin Choudhary has assured that the master blaster will be fine within one week and there is nothing much to panic about. He also said that it was important for him to return from the mid of South Africa tour, on account of the sprain in his leg.
The doctor said that the sprain that Sachin suffered could have happened with any other player in the team, nothing is serious in his injury.
"It is very normal that players suffer such injuries while running," he added.
"Sachin needs to take rest after he suffered the injury," he said.
As soon as Sachin came back to Mumbai, Dr. Jatin advised him to take care of himself.
He has also denied any kind of medical treatment for Sachin and said that he should take complete rest ahead of World Cup next month.
Last year in the month of May, Dr. Jatin gave a magnetic spiral machine to Sachin which was helpful in increasing physical strength. He has also treated Sania Mirza and Yuvraj Singh before.
Cricketer-turned-doctor Jatin Chowdhary understands a sportsperson's compulsions and so advises alternate forms of treatment - a combination of physiotherapy, osteopathy that uses massage and bone manipulation and the ingham method, or reflexology, that is used to relax tension and improve nerves and blood supply.
