Varanasi: Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Friday fired a fresh salvo at Art of Living guru Sri Sri Ravishankar, saying the spiritual guru is the "C grade worker of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS)".
"The RSS first used its A and B grade saints to conspite against the Congress and when it did not bear any results, it has now opening asked Sri Sri to target our party," Singh told reporters at Babatpur airport here.
He said: "Sri Sri will try to misguide people with anti-Congress statements during his three-day trip to Uttar Pradesh from November 7. But, people are wise enough not to fall in his trap."
The Congress leader also denounced religious preacher Morari Bapu, saying, "Eeveryone respects Morari Bapu for his preachings. But, one should do what is appropriate for him or her. If anyone is trying to slip into the shoes of a politician then that is not the right way to do it."
"I would suggest Morari Bapu to stay clear of politics," Singh underlined.
Earlier, Morari Bapu had taken a dig at AICC general secretary, saying the government did not face a threat from outsiders but people within it.
